As stated in your contract you MUST apply for licenses in each jurisdiction that the company practices immediately after signing a Mid-Atlantic Permanente employment agreement. Apply for medical licenses in Maryland, District of Columbia, and Virginia if not currently active. Our Physician Services Team is available to assist you with the process. Notes

  • Please note that there is a separate DEA for each state.
  • Full-time Physicians are expected to obtain and maintain licenses in all three jurisdictions.
  • Pathologists do not need to obtain CDS registration and DEA certificates.
  • Radiologists are required to obtain all three state licensures, CDS registration and DEA Certification for Maryland.
  • Allergists only require CDS and DEA from their primary jurisdiction.
